Process
Step 1 - Check it out
Become familiar with our line by viewing our gallery and about pages.
Step 2 - Get an estimate
Fill out the Stoffer Home Cabinetry Inquiry Form for a complimentary ballpark estimate.
If the ballpark estimate works within your budget and you would like to move forward, we will send you an invoice for the cabinetry design deposit. Cabinetry design deposits are 10% of the cabinetry ballpark estimate and will be applied toward your purchase. This deposit is non-refundable (for design services rendered) should you choose not to order.
Step 3 - Gather information
The following information will be required for the intake call with your designer.
Finishes: Select your paint color and/or wood finish. We have Cabinet Samples available to help you with this decision.
Measurements: If your project is a new build, or you have the dimensioned plans of the space, those plans will be sufficient. If you do not already have dimensioned plans, take measurements using our How To Measure Guide.
Pictures: Take pictures of your space, don’t hold back! We want to see everything. Title each picture with what it is showing. (For example: “wall to left of sink”)
Appliances: Select your appliances and sink(s). Determine the appliances you would like in your kitchen. We will work with whatever you choose as long as detailed product specifications are sent to us.
Mechanical Locations: If remodeling, indicate whether you want to change appliance and/or sink locations in your space. Please confirm that these changes are possible with the person who will be doing the work.
Location: Send us your ship-to address so that we can plan accordingly.
Step 4 - Design time!
Once your non-refundable deposit has been received, we will contact you to schedule an intake call for your design consultation. The purpose of this call is to discuss your needs and desires so your designer is able to create the perfect space for you. We will need the items listed above in Step 3 once you have signed on as a client.
Step 5 - Approve your design
Once your initial design has been received and reviewed a final revision meeting will be scheduled via video conference.
Included in the cabinetry deposit is one revision. Additional revisions if needed are available at our hourly rate, are non-refundable and will not be applied toward your cabinetry purchase. The revisions will begin after payment is received.
Step 6 - Confirm all measurements and review pricing
Once your design has been approved, final pricing along with numbered drawings and a corresponding parts list will be provided.
This is important: Review your drawings and confirm all measurements and dimensions are correct.
Stoffer Home Cabinetry is not responsible for inaccurate measurements. All cabinetry is non-returnable and non-refundable.
Once you accept your quote we will send an invoice to remit payment. Payment in full is required to place your order. Once payment is received, your cabinetry order will be placed.
Step 7 - Delivery and installation
You will be notified in advance to schedule your delivery. When your order is complete, each piece is blanket wrapped and loaded onto our shipper's truck. We deliver directly to you. Upon arrival, each piece is brought to the end of the truck, inspected and handed to your crew to carry into your home. We recommend having 2-3 able-bodied people on-site to facilitate.
Schedule the mandatory installation phone call. This conversation must include you, your installer and your SHC designer. This call is crucial to the success of your installation and will save time and money.
